Chamber of secrets

The Chamber of Secrets is a fictional location in the Harry Potter series, created by J.K. Rowling. It is a hidden chamber within Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, said to be built by Salazar Slytherin, one of the school's founders. The chamber is home to a monster, the Basilisk, and is central to the plot of the second book, 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,' where it is revealed that the chamber can only be opened by Slytherin's heir.
