Golden section

The golden section, also known as the golden ratio, is a mathematical ratio approximately equal to 1.618, often denoted by the Greek letter phi (φ). It is found by dividing a line into two parts so that the ratio of the longer part to the whole line is the same as the ratio of the shorter part to the longer part. This ratio is often associated with aesthetics in art and architecture, as it is believed to create visually pleasing compositions.
